We are extremely excited to announce that the up-coming 29th International Congress of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia will once again return to a real-live ‘face-to-face’ event that is undoubtedly going to be the go-to event of the year! The 2022 Congress will be held on 22-24 July 2022 at the One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya. The theme of the Congress is “Moving Forward with the New Norm”.
As you are well aware, last year, the OGSM held its first-ever virtual version of the Annual Congress. This was an experiment of sorts due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the MCO. Although we embarked on this with trepidation, we are happy to inform you that the previous Congress was also a gargantuan success. You will be thrilled to know that last year’s fully virtual version of the Congress attracted 960 registrants and a total of 450 delegates visited the virtual exhibition booths.
Our experience with the virtual variety has taught us that industry sponsors were particularly pleased that product exposure was excellent, most likely due to the extensive and extended exposure afforded to them via our website links. Furthermore, sponsors were also pleased at the significant cost savings to them from reduced speaker travel costs.
That said, now that restrictions have been dramatically eased, it is no exaggeration that people are bursting to come out from their confines and rekindle live connections! We are therefore extremely confident that both the ObGyn fraternity, pharmaceutical and medical device industry would look forward to the exciting prospects of interacting face-to-face once again.
