Her primary focus lies in Minimal Invasive Surgery, particularly in Reproductive Surgery. She received specialized training in laparoscopic surgery at IRCAD in Strasbourg, France, where she mastered procedures related to endometriosis and pelvic floor prolapse. Additionally, she trained at The European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery in Belgium, specializing in Operative Hysteroscopy.
Dr Tan is also a Certified Robotic Surgeon (since June 2017) after completing training at the Chinese University Hong Kong (CUHK) and Tri-service Hospital, Taiwan. Her expertise extends to over 400 Robotic Surgeries, with a focus on treating Deep-Infiltrating Endometriosis and Uterine Fibroids. During her tenure as Clinical Adjunct Professor at UPM (2021–2023), she passionately shared her knowledge and skills in Minimally Invasive Surgery.
