Call For Abstracts

Important Dates

OGSM 2024 ORIGINAL RESEARCH ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS FOR PUBLICATIONS & PRESENTATIONS

1. Delegates are invited to submit original research abstracts for consideration by the Scientific Committee for publications and presentations before the 20th May 2024.
2. Papers must not have been presented in another conference/published elsewhere, including as an abstract.
   
3. A limited number of abstracts will be shortlisted for Oral / E-Poster / Video Presentations and the authors of the best abstracts would also be given a chance to speak at the OGSM Congress as well. This can either be in Obstetrics or Gynaecology.
   
4. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to decide on the final mode of presentation and to select the abstracts relevant to the sessions.
   
5. The top selected abstracts will be published in a supplementary volume of the Medical Journal of Malaysia.
   
   

Abstract Submission Guidelines

1. Abstracts must be submitted in English using the Online Abstract Submission Form. Text must be typewritten in Times New Roman, font size 10.
2. Only abstracts submitted online will be accepted. Abstracts submitted by fax, email or paper copy will NOT be considered.
3. Select your preferred mode of presentation (Oral/E-Poster/Video). 
4. E-Poster presentations will be sub-divided into the following categories:
   1. Obstetrics
   2. Gynaecology
   3. Clinical Image of the Conference (Ultrasound, Surgical, Clinical)
5. Abstract texts should have the following structure: Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
   
6. For Case Report, the abstract should have the following structure: Introduction, Case Description and Discussion.
   
7. The abstract may contain up to a maximum of 250 words. Do not include graphs, tables, diagrams, pictures or references in the abstract.
   
8. For “Clinical Image of the Conference”, a maximum of two (2) images can be included in a single submission. Images should be uploaded on the platform with an accompanying Title (15 words or less) and Caption (50 words or less). The maximum size of each image file is 5MB or less. This can either be an ultrasound image, a clinical photography or a surgical image without patient identifiable information. The abstract should be accompanied by four (4) keywords which best describes the abstract.
   
9. Once the abstract submission has been successful, a confirmation email will be sent to you. Please ensure your email address is correct.
   
10. Selected presenting authors will be notified by 1st June 2024.
    
11. For each abstract, the Registration Fee for the presenting author should be paid by 10th June 2024.
    
12. If an abstract is selected, at least one author must be a paying Congress registrant and attend the Congress.
