Professor Nazimah Idris

Professor Dr Nazimah Idris is a Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the International Medical University Malaysia and the Medical Director of IMU Healthcare.
Besides the medical degrees she holds a Master of Medical Education from the University of Dundee and a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Ethics and Law from the University of Manchester. She is a member of IMU Senate, IMU Healthcare Senior Management Team, a member of the Examination for Professional Registration Committee and the Specialty Education Committee of the Malaysian Medical Council, a member of the Accreditation Panel for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Program, Malaysian Medical Council, Honorary Secretary for MERCY Malaysia, and the current President of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia.
She received clinical training in Malaysia and Australia and has over 20 years’ experience in managing high risk pregnancies and other women’s health issues including women’s health in disaster-affected areas.
