Prof Poon is the Chairperson and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and an Academic Subspecialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Visiting Professor at Department Women and Children’s Health, King’s College London.
She is President Elect of ISUOG, and chair of FIGO Committee on Impact of Pregnancy on Long–term Health. She is devoted in improving maternal and fetal health, and has had a prolific research output throughout her clinical and research posts, including >250 peer-reviewed publications in high impact international journals (H-index 66).
In the last 18 years she has focused her research on establishing a programme for effective early prediction and prevention of preeclampsia.
