Dr Murali Ganesalingam is a Senior Lecturer at the International Medical University. He has served the public sector in Malaysia for more than 30 years and has worked as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in various states.

Dr Murali obtained his basic medical degree from Stanley Medical College, University of Madras and his postgraduate qualification from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London (RCOG). He is currently a Fellow of the RCOG. Dr Murali also has a Fellowship in Advanced Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Medical Law from the University of Northumbria. He is a Bar Council Mediation Centre-certified Mediator.

Dr Murali had held the post of Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ampang Hospital and was also the Head of Obstetric and Gynaecological services for the state of Selangor. He is a practising Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, actively involved in clinical and academic work, and research. He has an interest in Gynaecological Oncology and in High-Risk Obstetrics.

Dr Murali is also a Past-President of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia (OGSM)
