Dr. Adrianes Bachnas currently serves as the Chair of the Ultrasound Working Group for the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (POGI) and as the General Secretary of the Indonesian Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (HKFM). He is deeply committed to medical education and training, having previously been part of the training committee of the Indonesian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (INACOG). He now holds a chair position in the curriculum committee, focusing on education and training development.

Based in Solo, Indonesia, Dr. Adrianes Bachnas is the Head of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Sebelas Maret University, and Dr. Moewardi General Hospital. Passionate about knowledge sharing, he has delivered hundreds of keynote lectures, speeches, and training sessions as an instructor, panelist, and chair.

He also serves as a Senior Expert for the Indonesian Ministry of Health, contributing to national policies, regulations, and guidelines. As a leading innovator in ultrasound education, he developed Indonesia’s national outreach course on limited obstetric ultrasound for general practitioners in rural areas, certifying over ten thousand GPs. He further revolutionized ultrasound education by introducing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for OB/GYN specialists’ basic ultrasound training.

In 2018, Dr. Bachnas pioneered the establishment of the Indonesian Task Force on Prenatal Diagnosis and Fetal Therapy, marking a significant advancement in maternal-fetal medicine in Indonesia.
