Dr Angeline Wong Tze Yin
Obstetrician & Gynaecologist,
Sarawak General Hospital,
Kuching, Sarawak
Malaysia

Dr Angeline Wong graduated with first class honours from Penang Medical College and has since served the length and breadth of Sarawak.  She has always been dedicated to teaching and was involved in basic suturing and obstetric life-saving skills from the time she was an mo.  After passing her MRCOG in 2016, she became a core team member of the Sarawak MRCOG survival course with the aim to pay it forward and help fellow colleagues prepare for the part 3 exams.  Besides teaching, surgery has always been her passion.  With the support of excellent mentors, she ventured into MIS and subsequently organised multiple successful hands-on laparoscopic workshops.  In 2023, she accepted the challenge of setting up the endometriosis service in Sarawak General Hospital.  To date, she has operated on more than 40 cases of severe endometriosis using 3d laparoscopy as well as the DaVinci Robot.  The improvement in the quality of life of patients post-surgery is her inspiration to continue to pursue and improve her surgical abilities.
