Dr Voon obtained his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the Ministry of Health Malaysia and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney.
He serves in a public hospital in Sarawak General Hospital, Malaysia and is an adjunct lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). He sees himself as a public health obstetrician with an interest in screening, prenatal diagnosis and fetal intervention.

- Editorial Board, PREGNANCY, official journal of SMFM and has been awarded the Shan S Ratnam Young Gynaecologist Award in 2019 and the Ministry of Health’s excellent service award twice.
