Datuk Dr Hazim has over 30 years of experience in the medical field and speciality of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. A pioneer in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He is a frequent speaker and demonstrator in congresses across Malaysia and Asia. He contributes immensely to postgraduate training and clinical guidelines in Malaysia.

Ever since spearheading the MOH O&G services and MMC, his involvement in clinical governance and policy-making has become more pronounced. He is involved in many policy-making bodies in MOH, LPPKN, and MMC.

Datuk Dr Hazim is also a member of the ACCRH (Assisted Conception and Reproductive Health) board under LPPKN (Lembaga Penduduk dan Pembangunan Keluarga Negara / National Population and Family Development Board), which looks into population development and propagation.
