Dr. Nik Sumayyah binti Nik Mohd Nor is a passionate advocate and dedicated clinician in the field of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG). In July this year, she successfully established the PAG Unit at Hospital Tunku Azizah, Kuala Lumpur — a significant milestone in advancing specialized care for young girls in Malaysia.
Dr. Nik Sumayyah was awarded a sponsorship by the Ministry of Health to undergo three years of intensive PAG training at both national and international FIGIJ-certified centres — namely, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She was also honoured as the recipient of the 2025 FIGIJ Bursary Award, proudly representing Malaysia on the international stage.
She earned her medical degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2010 and later obtained her Master’s in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from UKM in 2019. Since then, she has served as an O&G specialist at Hospital Tunku Azizah before embarking on her subspecialty fellowship in PAG.
Her commitment to this field continues to pave the way for better, more compassionate healthcare for paediatric and adolescent girls nationwide
