- Graduated from University Science of Malaysia 1993 with MD.
- Completed the training and obtained Masters in O&G in 2000 from University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
- Began a three-year Subspecialty fellowship training in the field of Urogynaecology in 2005 with 1 year training in James Cook University in Townsville, Queensland, Australia under the supervision of Prof Ajay Rane. (2006)
- Returned to Penang, Malaysia and established the Urogynaecology unit in Hospital Pulau Pinang in the year 2007. The Urogynaecology unit also serves as a training centre for new Urogynaecologists.
- Published papers in journals and given many lectures and involved in providing public education related to urinary problems and prolapse and other Urogynaecological problems in Malaysia.
- Member of the National Urogynaecology subcommittee for NSR in Ministry of Health Malaysia/MMC.
- Founder Secretary and Past President of the Malaysian Urogynaecology Society which was established in 2013.
- Member of the IUGA Education Subcommittee since 2013 till 2018
- The South East Asia representative in the International Advisory Board of the IUGA 2019-2021
- Current Chair of the Membership Committee of IUGA (Term 2024-2025)
- Honorary Secretary, and Past President of Penang Medical Practitioners Society
