Dear OGSM members,
In view of the deteriorating COVID-19 pandemic and in line with the guidance from the Registrar of Societies (ROS), Council has made the difficult decision to hold the AGM 2021 on a virtual platform. The AGM will still be on Saturday, 7th August 2021 at 1600 hrs.
The link to the platform will be sent to all members in benefit closer to the date.
Due to the processes and lead-in time involved in setting up and running the virtual platform and generating the appropriate links to ensure a smooth AGM, we take this opportunity to bring the following to your attention:
Subscription Fees
In line with the OGSM Constitution, members must be up-to-date with their subscription fees in order to participate in the AGM and be eligible for election. All members are encouraged to contact the OGSM Secretariat at administrator@ogsm.org.my if they have any queries about their membership. In order to finalise and submit the list of members in benefit to generate the appropriate links to the platform, the cut-off date for streamlining your subscriptions has been fixed as 12 midnight on the 31st of July 2021. Fees received after this date will not be considered for the AGM.
Nominations
To streamline the election process, members are encouraged to send in their nominations for Council by 12 midnight on the 31st of July 2021. Nominations received after this cut-off will not be considered. The Nominee, Proposer and Seconder must be up to date with their subscriptions and must be present at the AGM.
